Royal Match is a card game that has been around since the 18th century. It is one of the oldest and most loved games in history. It is a game that is easy to learn and play, yet it presents players with a challenge and requires good strategy and luck. The game is also known by other names such as King’s Ruff and King and Queen.

The game is played with two standard decks of cards, with the jokers removed. The objective of the game is to match the cards in a way that earns the most points. Players earn points by matching cards of the same rank or suit.

To begin the game, the dealer starts by shuffling both decks of cards and placing them on the table. The dealer then takes the top card of the first deck, turns it face-up, and places it at the center of the table. This card serves as a foundation, and players will aim to match cards to it. The dealer then proceeds to take the top card of the second deck and places it face down on top of the first card. This face-down card is the starter card.

The game then starts with the player to the left of the dealer, who plays a card from their deck. This card must be dealt face up on the table, next to the starter card, and it must be of the same suit as the starter card.

If the player doesn’t have a card of the same suit as the starter card, they can play any other card from their deck, with the exception of the royal cards (i.e. King, Queen, Jack). When a non-matching card is played, the player earns no points but is forced to draw a card from the deck, and the turn passes to the next player.

If a player successfully matches a card, whether by suit or rank, they earn points equal to the value of the matched card in points. For example, if a player matches a 10, they earn ten points, and if they match an Ace, they earn one point.

The game continues in this way, with each player taking turns to match cards to the starter card until someone is unable to make a match. At this point, the player must pick up all the cards on the table and play a new starter card.

When a card is picked up, players can select any matching cards from the pile to keep in their hand. These cards can be used later in the game to earn more points. The player who picks up the most matching cards earns an extra 10 points at the end of the game.

The game continues until all but one player run out of cards. When a player plays their last card or is forced to pick up the last cards, the game comes to an end. The player with the most points at the end of the game is declared the winner.

Royal Match has been around for centuries and continues to be popular among card game enthusiasts. It is a game that requires strategy, luck, and good judgment, making it a fun and challenging experience. Whether played with friends, family, or strangers, Royal Match is a game that everyone can enjoy.
